“Snow White and the 777 Dwarfs” is an interactive, multidimensional book designed to raise awareness of the dynamics of social aggregation and drive for belonging. Snow White, no longer a vulnerable princess, becomes a charismatic and manipulative leader. Obsessed with finding her own group, she convinces the dwarfs they are special beings threatened by an external enemy, positioning herself as the only one who can protect all of them and lead them to safety in a promised land.

While reading the twisted version of the fairy tale, users are required to perform physical interactions on the book. These actions can be either destructive or reversible, depending on the narrative context and the desired impact, whether the action reflects something irreversible within the story or not.

Some interactions involve augmented reality, which can only be accessed after the corresponding paper-based action has been performed. The physical manipulation of the page alters its appearance, creating the visual trigger needed to activate the camera-based AR response.

The book plays with the reader creating a simulation that makes them want to join the cult with the dwarfs, showing how powerful the need to belong is, and how individuality can be set aside.
